The last version had been up since November 12, 2011 and here is what it looked like.

In keeping with my own personal shift towards voluntary simplicity and minimalism, I wanted to streamline things around here a bit as well. The intended outcome is for you to better focus on the content and not be distracted by all the bells and whistles.

Content? You mean the content that has been severely lacking around here for the last year or more?

Yeah… about that…

You see, I stumbled into a new hobby called “genealogy” in February of 2012 which, basically, consumed me. That’s the bad news. Well… it was for the blog, anyway.

The good news is that I’ve arrived at a balance between genealogy, which I still love, and everything else.

Which should mean more pictures of unsuspecting children who are of the age now that they run when I bring out the camera.
