We have to listen

Eliana has had to read aloud for school and Karys is currently having to read aloud for 15 minutes every night.

Not to be outdone, Zane now also has to read. Aloud. For 20 minutes. Every night.

And we have to sign a sheet verifying that he has, indeed, read for 20 minutes.

Which means we have to listen.

Which means we’re working on our multitasking… listening and doing something else.

Either the school system doesn’t trust students to do their homework or the parents aren’t trusted to be involved in their kid’s homework.

It’s sad either way.

But on a positive note, Zane’s reading really continues to improve.
