Kids Eat For
I found a pretty neat website that I wanted to pass along to you.
KidsEatFor is an online tool to find restaurants that will feed your children for free. Plug in your zip code and it spits back a listing for every day of the week.

Confucius says…
Google changes their logo from time to time to celebrate various events, people and causes.
Today’s logo, or “doodle” as they are also called, on the Google China site is an obvious tribute to the Chinese philosopher Confucius, who was born on the 28th of September, 551 BC.
I’ll have to check with Zane this evening and see if he can translate the pinyin.

Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day
Did you know that today is Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day?
We love us some bubble wrap so much that we have a big ol’ roll of it in our son’s room. And it’s all I can do to keep
the girls from popping it.

New tool for parents
There is a new online tool for parents concerned about toxic toys.
The Ecology Center, A Michigan-based non-profit, took it upon themselves to test 1200 children’s products available in stores during the summer and fall of 2007 for lead and other chemicals. Based on results, each product tested was given an overall rating, as well as an individual chemical rating.
Search for toys by name, brand or type and even request testing for new toys not currently on the list. Your nomination will be reviewed by Ecology Center staff and should appear among the list of nominated products within a few days.
The site also gives examples of toys without any detected chemicals of concern.
Let’s all be a little better informed this Christmas.
