Our little monkey is 7 years old today.

And she received a lot of birthday love from her best buds at school this morning.

Today is the Chinese New Year and begins the Year of the Dragon.

So… Xīnnián kuàilè! or 新年快乐! (Chinese for Happy New Year!)

I’ve had Zane repeat this phrase about half a dozen times and I still can’t say it correctly.

It’s entirely possible that I could have my “man card” revoked over this. But here goes…

There’s a television show on ABC (Sundays at 8:00 pm) called Once Upon A Time. And I like it. A lot.

It’s about a character from Boston named Emma Swan who gets the surprise of her life when Henry, the son she gave up for adoption 10 years ago, shows up on her doorstep. Emma immediately wants to return Henry to his adoptive mother in Storybrooke, Maine. But Henry complicates Emma’s plan when he reveals a stunning theory: everyone in Storybrooke is a fairytale character under a curse, and Emma - the long lost daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming - is the only one who can save them all. The story unfolds by interweaving scenes of the drama in the sleepy New England town and the inhabitants’ past lives in the world of fairy tales.
