We’ve been home a full week with Karys. Here’s a short list of ten random things that we’ve learned about her so far:
- She is ticklish on her neck and down her back. I love to gooch her and listen to her giggle before the squeals of aggravation start.
- From all early indications, she’s going to be a prissy girl. She can’t stand for the tiniest little spot of anything to be on a finger.
- She does not like for the cats to come around the dinner table when we’re eating.
- She does not have a constipation problem. In fact, she’s quite regular.
- She will eat - or at least try - any food that you put in front of her.
- The girl can sleep. She has slept through the night from day one.
- She can put her own shoes on and on the correct feet.
- She loves to have her teeth brushed.
- She seems to favor her right hand.
- She’s a tattletale.
I’m curious! With her limited English, how did you learn she was a tattletale?!?
If Eliana does something that Karys doesn’t approve of, Karys will pat us on the arm and point at Eliana with a furrowed brow.
Language is no barrier, and children will be children no matter what culture they come from!!
What does she do when the cats come around the table? Mine will come around the table all the time. Blitz if he feel especially bold ,which he does most of the time, will even reach up and try to accually get food off of your plate if you aren’t watching him. He is big enough to reach up and on to the top of the table by seveal inches and grab anything off which happens to be within reach.
When the cats come to the table and we are eating she points and has a winey little fussy noise she makes. The rest of the time she chases them. It is her current favorite sport.
