We had a yard sale this morning. Yard sales aren't bad but having to get up at 5:00 am on a Saturday REALLY stinks. We don't even get up that early during the work week for crying out loud.
As usual, Eliana wanted to do something...anything...to help once the sale began. Carmi suggested that she ask "customers" if she could help them find something.
Well, Eliana did better than that.
On several occasions, ladies would be kneeling down to look through a box of books or clothes or knick-knacks. Our little saleslady would prance right up, look them in the face and ask, "Whatchu wanna buy?".
If they didn't respond in a timely manner, she would grab the closest piece of junk and inquire, "Wanna buy dis?".
I think she actually did sell a book! Guess we owe a commission...
