Thursday in Shijiazhuang - part 2
We did have a scare preparing to leave the temple.
Carmi could not find the fanny pack with her driver’s license and credit card in it. Those items were actually of no consequence but the pack also contained Karys’ passport.
We practically tore the van apart. The driver took us back to the restaurant where we had lunch but no one had seen a fanny pack in the dining area or the bathroom. A return trip to the temple turned up empty looking over the area where our driver parked the van while we toured. We started going over the van again when Amy shouted, “He found it!” The driver discovered the fanny pack lodged to the side of his seat between the seat and the door.
Our last stop for the day was Zhaozhou Bridge.
On the way there, Karys passed out and Eliana soon followed after this picture was snapped. Eliana was doing some serious snoring.
Zhaozhou Bridge was constructed in the years 595-605 during the Sui Dynasty by Li Chun and is the oldest existing stone arch bridge in China. It has withstood 10 floods, eight battles, and many earthquakes including a 7.2 degree earthquake in 1966.

Well, we didn’t get a ‘smile’ but at least she looked toward us! The pictures turned out really good. Tie that fanny pack to somebody’s neck.....oh my what a scare! Bet everybody was ready to call it a day!!!
Carmi you all looked tired in the car. I just want to take all of you in my arms and hold you close. I’m saving some of the pictures to my PC so I can copy them. I’m putting a little book together and have already shared it with my church small groups. Everyone there is so thrilled to see the girls pictures. Sunny and Tommy cat are still hiding when I go feed them. Nick is still with us.
Tema - I text messaged Steven. He was at work. Michelle and I talked on the phone. Kitzie just can’t figure out where you’ve gone!
I wonder what the old man was thinking in the last picture!
Hugs and kisses to everyone, and have a great day today. Its bedtime here.
Wow! I just can’t get over how much your journey (short of the SWI visit) is so much like ours! We found the temple very peaceful too. After the first few buildings our guide told us to go ahead and take photos!
So we have some of the huge Pusa!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for such a beautiful job of journaling and your videos! It is such a gift!

PS
The girls are stunning! (makes me want a girl after 4 boys! LOL!)

Tina - you crack me up!!
Eliana looks like she is going to be a great big sister. Love the picture of them holding hands! Be safe!

Tina, Eliana still wants a brother so why don’t we all go back for one more...Chin Yen said that they have a boy who needs a home. I think she would have given him to us on Monday if she could have!

Wow! I’m glad the fanny pack was found! The girls look so happy together. That is a beautiful bridge. I think it is neat that it so old.
