A good sign?
Eliana wanted Karys to sleep in the bed with her last night.
Eliana moves around when she sleeps. She moves around a LOT! She slings arms and legs and is occasionally turned upside-down in the bed when we check on her in the mornings.
Carmi and I agreed to let them share a bed.
Eliana must have been thinking about Karys all night because, as far as we know, big sis stayed on her half. At least we didn’t hear any squeals of being smushed from little sis.
They went to bed around 10:00 pm. It’s now 6:45 am and Eliana has been up for a while but Karys is still sleeping soundly.
I hope this is a good sign.

Is it okay if gran’mommy cries when she looks at the picture of Eliana’s little sister sleeping? I can almost feel the touch of her skin. So innocent.

Such a beautiful little girl ... just like her big sister. Tell Eliana how proud we are that she slept with Karys to help her get adjusted to her new family. Looking out for little sister is something that big sister should always do and that is a great start! Can’t wait for more pictures!! Love and hugs.

How precious is little Karys! Eliana is such a great big sister! I loved how she checked to see if her Mei-Mei was ready for her next bite of food. Too cute. (And I still can hear her say Nihao Y’all from your video before you left.) Have a wonderful rest of your stay in China.

Karys is beautiful and it sounds like Eliana is more-than-ready to be a big sister...and a good one at that! Congratulations! I’ve been concerned about you guys since hearing about the huge storm headed there. Any news about it? Be safe!

Shea, Tell Sophie not to worry, Eliana got lots of hugs from her Mommy & Daddy, especially that day.
She is so beautiful! Everytime I read your entries Sophie’s with me, pointing at Karys and saying “There’s my sister!”
Here’s to continued good times! and Sophie wants me to double check about that hug (she’s asked me multiple times since I typed the request!) as she’s adament Eliana needs it!
