One of our intermediate schools hosted a Fall Fiesta this evening. Basically it was a big party for families with children in the ESL (English as a Second Language) curriculum.
Since this was an “international” event, we thought we’d dude up the kiddos in their traditional Chinese outfits purchased during our trip to China in March.
Well, it was a good idea. Too bad we were the only ones to think of it.
So after the kids had their faces painted and we munched down on a pizza dinner, the outfits came off. But not before a couple of other adults took their picture.

Zane and Eliana played in a couple games of pickup basketball.
True to form, Eliana had to get right in the middle of a bunch of boys and duke it out.
I think she forgot what game she was playing, though. There were a couple of times when she tackled an opponent with possession of the ball.

Karys received some help from Zane’s ESL teacher.

Zane had a great time.
On the way home, he said, “That was fun. I want to party again!”
