I braved a room FULL of women with loud children this morning and registered Karys for kindergarten. {sigh}
Let me tell you… that little girl is some more ready to start “big” school. So she can learn to read.
She’s also pretty excited about going to the same school as sissy. Mmm… I’m not sure that Eliana feels the same though.
The 3rd grade moved back into their elementary school this year so she and Eliana will attend together in the Fall. It’s the one and only year that any of our children will be in the same school at the same time.

Karys is officially 5 years old today!
And she couldn’t be more excited.
Oh… she’s excited about the prospect of her very own Nintendo DS. Without a doubt. She gets really giddy just talking about it.
But she’s most excited because turning 5 is the ticket to kindergarten and learning to read. The girl can’t WAIT to start school in the Fall.
Speaking of school, the kids are out today because of the weather and Carmi is staying home with them. We’ll celebrate Karys’ big day this evening once I leave work.
Happy Birthday, little monkey. We sure do love you!

The 3 kids and I were eating breakfast this morning at the kitchen table. Karys sat next to me and during a lull in the conversation she passed gas.
I knew it was her.
She knew I knew it was her.
So I made a big deal of it.
“K-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-r-ys…”
Now of course we’ve taught our children well. They have to be reminded quite frequently but they’re supposed to say “excuse me” when they poot or burp.
“K-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-r-ys… what do you say?”
“Not me!”, she exclaimed with a grin.
