Neither Carmi nor I watch a lot of television. Certainly not network tv shows. Most of what we watch is on TLC, the Travel Channel or HGTV.
But I’ve heard so many people talking about this show called Lost on ABC. If you’re not familiar with it, the show follows the lives of plane crash survivors on a mysterious tropical island, after a commercial passenger jet flying between Sydney, Australia and Los Angeles crashes somewhere in the South Pacific.
The ABC website streams all the episodes from the very first 2-hour pilot back in 2004 to the current episode.
So last night, after the children were safely tucked into bed, I sat down and watched the first hour. Just the first hour. And now I think I’m hooked.
Why oh why did I let myself get sucked in?
Do you watch it?
This is our very favorite show!! It is fascinating—all the story lines weave in and out of each other. We didn’t watch it much in the first season but then caught up and we are solidly hooked now! Welcome to the club, Doug!!
My favorite show! The thing I love about Lost is that it makes you think. You have to pay attention to follow along and look for clues and foreshadowing…
And the deeper you get to it, the more interesting it gets. Parallels between the story line and the Bible, references to novels and authors, scientific celebrities, etc. It is all so very thought provoking and interesting… the writers really have to know their stuff.
Maybe it’s just to over my head. I could NOT get into it!!
This has been my FAVORITE show for years, until this year. They have totally Lost me (and Ty) going three years forward and three years back. It has always been a hard show to follow. You have to really pay attention. I keep saying I am going to give it another shot. Ty is done. We will see.
YES…we have watched this show since Day #1 and have been hooked every episode since!
This is also my FAVORITE show. Don’t miss an episode! Even read the reviews on Thursday to see what others saw that I missed. Enjoy!!
Oh, yea, we’re followers of Lost! It’s filmed in Hawaii and in fact, much of the footage of the flash-backs, flash-forwards is filmed around my office building. It’s so much fun to watch the finished scene on TV and then figure out the actual location!
I watched the first episode and have seen a couple of more if it happened to be on at the gym, but I really don’t like it. I really don’t watch that much TV.
The only one I honestly keep up on since the beginning!
