Two local ladies who work for our agency, Christian World Adoption, had a little get-together in Charlotte tonight for area couples adopting from China.

We gathered at a beautiful home and there were, I would say, a few more than 50 people there in various stages of the process. One couple applied to begin just last week. Three or four couples, Carmi and I included, were in the midst of the paperchase. Most were DTC (Dossier To China) or their dossiers were already logged in. Several couples were expecting referrals at any time.

I thought there would be other China girls there but as it turned out, Eliana was the only one. Needless to say, she was quite a hit. It was so funny to see our little almost-4-year-old wandering through the crowd and talking to the attendees.

Such a social butterfly.
