I sent the necessary documents to North Carolina’s Secretary of State office today. The SoS will authenticate our documents and return them to us.
This is the third time that Elaine Marshall will have seen our names so I’m sure she’ll push the paperwork right on through. I told Carmi I was going to include a Hershey’s Kiss and beg kindly ask Elaine to expedite.

Before putting on pajamas and getting ready for bed tonight, Eliana asked if she could read me a book. Her book of choice was “One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish” by Dr. Seuss.
She is doing, in my humble opinion, extremely well sounding out words that she doesn’t know although she does tend to get frustrated a little too quickly.
How I do love to hear her read. She makes us so proud.
* Sigh *
Our “little” girl continues to grow up.

This 2-DVD set from the History Channel has a running time of 250 minutes. You can pre-order the set for $34.95 but it will not ship until September 26th. This show just recently aired so the DVDs are still in the process of being manufactured.
I just happened to have my camera at church this evening because a blogger never knows when there may be a Kodak moment.
Our Worship Pastor, Chris, also had a digital camera and was taking some photos for possible use on our church website.
So of course Chris took a picture of me taking a picture of him.
Silly boys.
Nickelodeon has released their first Kai-Lan DVD called Ni Hao Kai-Lan: Super Special Days.
When I first saw this DVD on Amazon, I assumed that the DVD contained the first season. Then I saw that the run time is only 98 minutes so it couldn’t possibly hold the entire season but there was no indication otherwise.
I finally saw the DVD at Target last week but we ended up buying it at Wal-Mart last night. At Wal-Mart, you get the DVD plus a little stuffed Ho-Ho which is the monkey character on the show.
There are only four episodes on the DVD: “Dragonboat Festival”, “Beach Day”, “Twirly Whirly Flyers” and “Everybody’s Hat Parade”.
